Digital Narrative Therapy

StoryCareTherapy beyond words.

StoryCare is a therapist-led mental health treatment that transforms personal narratives into images, music, and video to support progress and clinical recovery.

From session to shared narrative

Selected moments from therapy become a structured Story Page built from the patient's own language.

Not a worksheet or a chatbot — something personal the patient actually returns to between sessions.

1

Share

The patient tells their story. StoryCare captures audio, transcript, and speaker identity.

2

Shape

The therapist selects the moments that matter and guides what gets created.

3

Create

StoryCare generates images, video, and original music. Every Story Page is unique.

4

Respond

The patient engages between sessions with reflection prompts, surveys, and the media itself.

A structured narrative created from therapy transcripts and shaped by the therapist.

Built from the patient's own language to extend the work between sessions.

AI Images + VideoThe patient sees their story reflected back visually. Something concrete to hold onto between sessions.
Original MusicEach story gets its own score. Patients return to it. It becomes part of their relationship with the work.
Reflection PromptsTherapist-guided questions that keep the session alive between visits. Patients respond on their own time.
Outcome SurveysClinicians see how patients are responding, what they engage with, and where things shift over time.

A unified toolset for transforming patient stories into shared media.

AI assists. The therapist remains in control.

StoryCare helps patients externalize internal experiences.

These stories were created during group sessions as part of the initial pilot.

Figure on tightrope carrying a glowing heart
Carrying what matters through the worst of it
Blindfolded figure reaching toward a doorway
Finding the way forward without seeing it yet
Man releasing an eagle
Letting go of what no longer serves
Child holding photos facing a caged figure
Memory as protection
Silhouette facing a figure rising from fire
Facing what's been buried
Figure sitting in stillness inside a spiral of light
Learning to be still

Grounded in how therapy works.

Built on research in externalization, expressive arts, and between-session engagement.

Externalization builds agency

Turning experience into narrative and image helps patients see problems as separate from identity.

Reflection deepens integration

Revisiting structured narrative between sessions strengthens insight and memory consolidation.

Symbolic media expands processing

Visual and auditory media engage emotional systems beyond verbal dialogue.

Visible engagement informs care

Patterns of return, response, and reflection provide real signal for the next session.

A clinical framework the therapist controls.

Eight modules. Individual or group. Measurement built in.

Patients move through a structured sequence: from safety and orientation, through narrative development, to meaning-making and integration. At each step, they create something, reflect on it, and carry it forward. The default protocol is 8 modules. It adapts to individual or group formats.

Designed across populations and settings. Each session is recorded, transcribed, and turned into a Story Page with built-in outcome measures.

  • 01 Orientation & Safety
  • 02 Identity Anchoring
  • 03 Narrative Development I
  • 04 Narrative Development II
  • 05 Meaning Making
  • 06 Future Projection
  • 07 Integration
  • 08 Closure & Continuity

Common questions.

No. The therapist runs the session, reviews the transcript, selects what matters, and decides what the platform creates. StoryCare is a tool in the clinician's hands, not a substitute for clinical judgment.
StoryCare is HIPAA-compliant with end-to-end encryption, role-based access, and audit logging. Audio, transcripts, and generated media are stored securely and never used to train AI models.
StoryCare is currently in clinical evaluation and available to clinicians and researchers interested in early adoption. It's designed for residential, outpatient, and community settings working with group or individual therapy.
The patient securely logs into their Story Page, a structured narrative built from session transcripts. It includes therapist-curated videos, music, images, reflection prompts, and surveys, all grounded in what the patient shared.
StoryCare was built around Digital Narrative Therapy, but the core tools — transcription, media generation, Story Pages, and outcome tracking — can support other structured therapeutic approaches.
StoryCare is built to be a cost-effective treatment model. Pricing depends on your setting, number of providers, and patient volume. Reach out and we'll walk through it with you.
Setup is straightforward for individual clinicians or organizations. The platform is multi-tenant with admin roles, provider management, and configurable protocols. We work with each site to tailor the rollout to their workflow.
Minimal. Most clinicians are comfortable with the platform in under two hours. StoryCare was designed for therapists, not technologists. If you can run a session, you can use the tools.
The platform captures patient engagement (views, time spent, prompt responses), outcome survey results, session transcripts, and media interaction patterns. Our clinical trial is currently in progress, and we're building the evidence base for how these signals connect to therapeutic outcomes.
StoryCare is currently in clinical evaluation. We're transparent about where we are: building the evidence, running pilots, and working toward regulatory milestones. We'll share results as they come.

In clinical evaluation. Open to early adopters.

We're looking for clinicians who want to create something new with their patients. If you're running groups, individual therapy, or research, we'd like to hear from you.

"Most digital tools ask patients to do something outside of therapy. StoryCare creates something from therapy. That's the difference my patients actually respond to."
